Chemical repellents (e.g. moth spheres, sulfur candle lights, ammonia) are typically ineffective for excluding bats from structures. Bats may be momentarily kicked out by using these repellents but they are likely to return after the chemical has actually dissipated. Furthermore, chemicals (e.g. Rozal, chlorodane, lindane, and so on) typically sicken bats prior to eliminating them, and also hardly ever is the application efficient.
